Nahal Alexander (Alexander Stream)

Nahal Alexander (Alexander Stream), flowing from the mountains of Samaria to the Mediterranean Sea, is a declared National Park, a charming natural area featuring also agricultural fields. The site features several focal points- one is Kedem Park, which has beautiful recreational areas with charming corners shaded by orchard trees and ornamental trees. The Park spreads over both sides of the stream and its banks are connected with Irish bridges. Turtle Park and Turtle Bridge- in the water of this stream lives a big population of soft-shell water turtles, rare animals in Israel. The Turtle Bridge crosses over Alexander Stream to the east of Kfar Vitkin and near it many of the turtles gather. This place also offers sitting areas and children’s playgrounds, an observation platform overlooking the stream and an observation tower. Italy Park, a section of the stream which is a part of the Alexander Stream rehabilitation project, offers extensive lawns, rich vegetation, parks, sitting areas and a café. The dirt paths in the park are accessible to wheelchairs and strollers.
