The unique Okashi Art Museum is located in a magnificent old Ottoman structure in the heart of the Old City of Acre (Akko). The Ceiling’s stone arches and the prevalent atmosphere make a visit to the Okashi Art Museum a special experience, and not only because of the exhibits but also because of the structure that houses them. Until a few decades ago this structure housed the workshop of the artist Avshalom Okashi, who was one of the prominent figures of the "New Horizons" school, and today one can view here a permanent exhibition of his works, which focuses on Biblical stories and Israeli landscape. Alongside this exhibition the Okashi Art Museum also hosts every once in a while changing exhibitions of Israeli artists.
