It is surprising to find out that even during winter many travelers come to Ein Mashpa (Mashpa Spring), especially those who already know its secret. The secret of Ein Mashpa is in its warm water. Here, south-west of the archeological mound of Beit Tsida (Bethsaida), one can have a wonderful picnic and even stay overnight near the water. Next to the source of the spring’s flow a small shallow pool was dug and next to it were placed picnic tables for the visitors. Form this pool comes out a brook which makes its way to the Jordan River. With the help of the great shade which the tall trees that decorate this area make, it is pleasant here during hot summer days as well.
