Whoever wants to learn from up close – with eyes as well as with feet – how a Mediterranean grove is supposed to look at its best, should go to the northern Goren Park. Goren Park stretches over about 2,000 dunams, near kibbutz Ayalon and Moshav Goren and in great parts of it one can see Kziv Stream making its way at its feet, as well as the old Montfort fortress. Goren Park has numerous beautiful walking trails that are suitable for the whole family, some of which are short and easy. And, of course, there are many well equipped picnic areas and wonderful sitting areas here, some of which are quite intimate and semi-hidden. Park Goren also offers an overnight camping ground. Goren Park has been declared in 1963 and it is characterized by a great richness of Oak, True Laurel, Strawberry, Terebinth and other trees. In the spring the Goren Park is painted by multi-colored blossom.
