Armon HaNatziv (meaning the commissioner's palace) Promenade is in fact an inclusive name for three different promenades which were connected together; each having a somewhat different character than the other, and this is perhaps the secret of its charm: the Gabriel Sherover Promenade, the Daniel Haas Promenade, and the Richard Goldman Promenade. Here, in the south-eastern part of Jerusalem, the beautiful Armon HaNatziv Promenade stretches on the clear border with the Judean Desert. The Armon HaNatziv Promenade leaves from the Abu Tor neighborhood, continues along the Mount of Evil Counsel and arrives at Armon HaNatziv and the Shalom Forest. Each of the promenades was planned separately by a different architect and at different times and thus each has a different atmosphere. And the landscape itself? It includes the Old City of Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives and of course the impressive spaces of the Judean Desert. The Armon HaNatziv Promenade includes lovely picnic areas, a nice rock garden and varied vegetation.
