Mount Karmila Overnight Campground

Mount Karmila Overnight Campground, located on the Jerusalem Mountains, is a relatively well organized camping site in an area which does not offer many such options. It is situated within a forested area (arrival from HaKdoshim Forest), where numerous hiking and bicycle trails pass – which makes it very much recommended for travelers who are looking for a couple of days of an outdoor experience in nature. Mount Karmila Overnight Campground is accessible only by an off-road vehicle (or bicycle). It includes picnic tables and areas where one can have a fire (you will have to bring the wood with you). Mount Karmila Overnight Campground offers no water taps, toilets, showers or electricity. On the other hand – there is plenty of nature, mountains and clear air here. Mount Karmila Overnight Campground is open throughout the year and is free of charge. Please note that during the winter, autumn and spring it gets pretty cold here.
Arrival at Mount Karmila Overnight Campground: enter HaKdoshim Forest from road number 38 and drive east on a trail marked in black. The road is well marked with signs and is less than 2 kilometers long.
