Hurbat Manot (Manot or Manueth Ruin), which is in the Western Galilee, is not just another archeological site such as a regular wine press or ancient water well. Here the Crusaders manufactured sugar which was exported all over Europe. No less. In fact, this was a fortified farm that was situated rights next to the southern bank of Kziv Stream, where sugar canes were cultivated. At Manot Ruin, some of the walls of which reach the height of six meters, archeologists found facilities which were preserved very well. Today one can see at Manot Ruin an aqueduct that stretches from the nearby stream to the remains of the structure. This water served a wheel that turned grindstones. At Manot Ruin one can find the remains of production halls and around it is a pleasant green grove.
Arrival at Manot Ruin: from road number 70 turn east to the road that leads to moshav Manot.
