Many archeologists look to Hurbat Minim (Khirbet al-Minya) because of the numerous ancient finds which were excavated here and in its area. First and foremost are the remains of an impressive mansion which was found here from the Arab period (the Umayyad Caliphate). This structure fell to ruin in the mid 8th century during the earthquake which took place here. Today one can see here the remains of a gate, courtyard, walls, a bath house and more, and everything is dotted with Washington Palm trees and Date Palm trees which contribute to the atmosphere. The nearby Sea of Galilee completes the pastoral picture. One can arrive at Hurbat Minim from road number 90. North of Ginosar, look for the access road that leads to Karei Deshe.
