The Marlstones of Masada

There are places that look different in various seasons and even times of the day. And as such they always attract visitors who come back to them again and again. And if you add to the equation landscapes that look as if they belong to a different planet, the experience intensifies. Such are the Marlstones of Masada- countless multi-layered ravines, a remnant of an ancient lake. Some of these rock walls rise to the impressive height of almost ten meters and a walk along them seems like the discovery of a new land. This special surface simulates a kind of a controlled attempt at getting lost. All this gets much more powerful when you travel here on full moon nights. The trail at the Marlstones of Masada is short (but not circular). It begins at the eastern corner of the eastern car park of the Masada National Park and ends a few hundreds of meters to the south of the Masada Junction, on road number 90.
