The Ramat Gan Safari Ramat Gan

In the heart of the Tel Aviv Metropolitan (Gush Dan), in the city of Ramat Gan, is found a fascinating African Savanna - The Safari, or in its official name, The Zoological Center Tel Aviv - Ramat Gan. Here, in an area of about a 1,000 dunams there is the largest collection of animals in the Middle East. These animals roam in the open area in habitats that simulate their natural ones and the visitors are invited to drive next to them in their private cars- just like in an African Safari. About 1,600 animals from all around the world live in the Ramat Gan Safari, among which are 68 species of mammals, 130 species of birds and 25 species of reptiles. Around the Safari’s charming lake one can enjoy observing the animals that come to quench their thirst, such as deer, rhinoceroses, ostriches and hippopotamuses that come here to cool off and many water birds.
