In Rishon Le-Zion is a hidden surprising attraction that is suitable for the whole family- the Rishon Le-Zion Museum, which tells about the history of Rishon Le-Zion in particular and of the settlement of Israel in general. The pioneering spirit, the Hebrew language and the love of the land are the stars here, in a city that was founded in 1882 and in its origin was the first town of the "First Aliyah" (the first modern extensive wave of Jewish Zionist immigration into Israel). Some of the permanent exhibitions in the Rishon Le-Zion Museum introduce the visitors to the images of craftsmen of the past, such as the pharmacist and the blacksmith, or to a reconstructed school’s classroom, such as the classroom of the local school which opened in 1887. In the yard of the Rishon Le-Zion Museum, next to old trees, there is a house from the first days of the town of Rishon Le-Zion. The Rishon Le-Zion Museum is full of authentic tools, documents and photographs which demonstrate the way of life of those times. Changing exhibitions on a variety of subjects are also presented here. Arrival through "Kikar HaMeyasdim" (the founder’s square).
