It is no secret that the Tel Avivi Sheinkin Street has become a concept of many meanings, especially bohemian. Sheinkin Street is named after the Zionist leader Menahem Sheinkin and it was the beating heart of a center which was meant to house craftsmen. Sheinkin Street was inaugurated in 1913 and in the beginning of the 1980s it changed it character when many young artists "discovered” it. After this, several mythological businesses, which were a little alternative in style, opened here, such as the music store "The Third Ear” and others. With time Sheinkin Street has become a symbol for Tel Aviv liberalism. Alongside the many young people, Sheinkin Street and its surroundings are the home of many Ultra-Religious Jews and they all appear to live peacefully side by side. It is recommended to visit Sheinkin Street especially on Friday mornings or around noon, when it is especially busy.
