The beautiful and well-kept neighborhood of Talbiya, which is located to the south of the neighborhood of Rehavia, served the rich Arab residents of Jerusalem until 1948. The houses still stand and present oriental elegance. The neighborhood of Talbiya includes some of Jerusalem’s important symbols, among which are the President’s and the Prime Minister’s residences, the Jerusalem Theater and more. Today live in the prestigious neighborhood of Talbiya many diplomats, high-ranking government officials, thinkers, people of the free professions and Jews of American or European descent. Due to the uniqueness of the neighborhood of Talbiya, sometimes guided tours take place here on the subject of architecture or the neighborhood’s houses and its people.
