The new Kalia Beach

The new Kalia Beach, managed by Kibbutz Kalia and only a half an hour drive from Jerusalem, is the most northern beach of the Dead Sea. One can already see the Dead Sea and the new Kalia Beach from the vast balcony at the entrance. From here one can see the large blue shades, the small huts which one can rent and the colorful parasols that decorate the beach. From here one climbs down the stairs to the new Kalia Beach. Here in the warm and salty water one can float pleasantly and spread the black mud with its famous special healing properties all over one’s body. There is also a store here that sells souvenirs and cosmetics products that are based on the minerals of the Dead Sea. One can purchase food at the local kiosk. Based on prearrangement and for a charge, one can raise a private tent here on the lawn for an overnight stay or sleep in the vast Bedouin tent. One can also order Bedouin meals at the new Kalia Beach, spa treatments, an all-terrain vehicle trip, horse riding trips, camel riding and many other activities. One needs to pay in order to enter the new Kalia Beach and there is a free parking outside.
