Situated at the old railway station of Jaffa, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) History Museum presents the military history of the State of Israel from its foundation and until the present day. The museum’s exhibition includes a rare collection of original and unique items, from the first "sliks” (weapons caches) of the days before the foundation of the State of Israel to the most advanced weapons of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and from armored vehicles to the Merkava (Chariot) tank. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) History Museum is situated on the edge of the Neve Tzedek neighborhood of the city of Tel Aviv and is housed inside the structures that served the old Jaffa railway station until the year of 1948. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) History Museum presents an amazing authentic exhibition that is combined with the personal stories of soldiers.
