In our dry country every water source is a worthy attraction and Yiron’s "Agam Hai” ("Living Lake"), a natural lake and an area rich in fauna and flora, is a real celebration. Yiron's "Living Lake” is located in Kibbutz Yiron, near Mount Meron, high up in the Upper Galilee region. The water of Yiron's "Living Lake” is surrounded by thick reed vegetation and one can go here into the lake in a paddle boat, fish, play in the playground, have a picnic (but no BBQ) or catch a few moments of pastoral peacefulness in front of the beautiful lake in which swim black and white swans, mallards, geese and ducks, and listen to the voices of nature which we are not quite used to hearing in everyday life. The small zoo of Yiron's "Living Lake” has become famous in the area and next to the guinea pigs and hares in the petting zoo, there are also deer, antelopes and goats here that one can feed and ponies on which the children can go for a ride. Yiron's "Living Lake” also offers a workshop area and an area with an oven for baking that are open mainly during the summer and the Jewish Holidays of September\October.
